One of many many many experimental walks. "Walk to the Beach!" began with a simple question: is it possible to walk to one of Tampa's last remaining city beaches?? We conducted several different attempts, each beginning from a different location less than one mile away from our destination. Our journeys became a study in the symbolic and affecitive geography of the city from the perspective of the walker, the effects of the automobilization of life, as well as a proposition for how simple collective actions can open up space to resistant reshaping. This was followed by another unspectacular series of walks entitled "Walk to the Grocery Store!"; each iterationin in this series was simple to organize: someone would invite others to walk with them from their residence to the nearest grocer. Hilarious and frightening adventures ensued.
